High Protein Homemade Beef Burger with Sweet Potato Wedges




Ingredients:

  • 120g lean ground beef (formed into a patty)
  • 1 whole grain burger bun (60g)
  • 20g cheddar cheese (1 slice)
  • 30g lettuce leaves (2-3 leaves)
  • 20g tomato slices (2-3 slices)
  • 10g red onion rings (2-3 rings)
  • 120g sweet potato (cut into wedges)
  • 5ml olive oil (1 teaspoon)
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste
  • Optional: 10g ketchup or mustard for topping
  • you can use some homemade Mayo or Ketchup for more flavor

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Beef Patty: Season 120g ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into a patty and grill or pan-fry until cooked (4-5 minutes per side). Add cheese on top during the last minute.
  2. Roast Sweet Potatoes: Toss 120g sweet potato wedges with 5ml olive oil, salt, and paprika. Roast at 200°C for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
  3. Assemble Burger: Toast the bun lightly. Layer lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun. Place the beef patty with melted cheese on top. Add ketchup or mustard if desired.
  4. Plate & Garnish: Serve the burger with sweet potato wedges. Garnish with parsley if you like.
